About the Conference
This Conference is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Public Administration Association (HKPAA) and the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) (with its constituent units: the School of Professional and Executive Development (SPEED) and the Hong Kong Community College (HKCC)) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to mark the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Conference Theme
Retrospect and Prospect on Public Policies, Administration and Management

Sub-themes
1. Review of HKSAR’s public policies and administration in the past 20 years and lessons learnt.
2. Current issues and challenges in different policy areas, including but not limited to housing, transport, education, health, elderly, tourism, environment, law and order, and technology.
3. Overseas perspectives, experiences and lessons for Hong Kong.

Conference Structure
Part 1 plenary sessions: Top HKSAR government officials, academics and experts from Hong Kong, United States, Korea, Singapore, the Chinese Mainland, and some other countries will be invited to speak and present papers.
Part 2 parallel sessions: There will be presentations of papers by academics, students and practitioners in public sector management and related fields on various subthemes.
